US-based Longroad Energy Holdings LLC has started the commercial operation and secures financial close for its 200 MWdc Sun Streams 2 solar photovoltaic project in Arizona, USA.
The project consists of First Solar’s Series 6 modules and inverters by Nextracker and SMA. Microsoft has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement for the energy produced from the solar plant.
Longroad has closed the financing for the project with CIBC as the coordinating lead arranger, collateral agent, and issuing bank. Silicon Valley Bank served as coordinating lead arranger and administrative agent, and PNC Bank was the sole tax equity investor.
EDPR Renewables has announced that its onshore wind farm, 198MW Headwaters II, starts commercial operations in Indiana, the USA.
