Longroad Energy has announced the sale of its 108 MWdc (83 MWac) Foxhound Solar project to Dominion Energy, marking Longroad's first solar project in Virginia and its first greenfield development project in PJM.
The project, which has been in development for six years, is located in Halifax County, Virginia, USA, and will produce enough clean energy to power more than 17,000 homes. The project is expected to complete in January 2024 and has long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
The project financing was secured with KeyBank N.A. and HSBC serving as lenders. Balch & Bingham served as Longroad's counsel on the transaction, with the financial close of the acquisition expected upon mechanical completion of the project in early 2024. This acquisition furthers Dominion Energy's commitment to supporting Virginia's clean energy goals and brings Longroad Energy closer to providing clean energy solutions that benefit the environment and communities.
