Lightsource bp closes US$100m financing on 130 MW Black Bear solar project in Montgomery County

Lightsource bp has closed on a US$100 million financing package for its 130 megawatts (MWdc) Black Bear Solar energy project in Montgomery County, Alabama.

The tax equity investment for the project was secured by U.S. Bank. Debt for the project was provided by Banco Santander, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC).

The balance of the equity requirements will be invested by Lightsource bp.
