German real assets fund manager KGAL has partnered with solar projects developer Pfalzsolar to build two solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in Greece.
The partnership of the two companies aims to develop the 81 MWp Volos solar PV project in central Greece and the 95 MWp Evros PV project in the north. KGAL is investing in the schemes through its fifth European renewable energy vehicle KGAL ESPF 5.
The solar farms will be constructed by Pfalzsolar which will be responsible for the planning, construction, and operation of the plants together with local onsite partners. Volos solar PV project is expected to enter commercial operation by the end of 2023 while the Evros solar farm is planned for commissioning before the end of 2024.
