Cypark Resources Bhd has partnered with the Terengganu state government to develop a 500 MW large-scale hybrid hydro floating solar (HHFS) plant at Tasik Kenyir, Malaysia.

This innovative initiative will combine solar energy generation and battery storage at a single location. TNB Power Generation Sdn Bhd (TNB Genco) will handle the design, construction, and operation of the plant, with design work scheduled to commence in 2025. Terengganu Inc. initiated a floating solar farm project With a vast water surface of 370 square km designed to produce up to 2,000 MW of electricity. Initially, the company partnered exclusively with TNB Genco, following a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed in July 2024 to conduct a feasibility study for the project at the lake.
