John Laing Group invests in 85 MW solar projects in North Carolina

John Laing Group plc has announced that it is partnering with Cypress Creek Renewables to invest GBP27 million (US$35.5 million) in two utility-scale solar projects located in eastern North Carolina.

This investment adds to John Laing’s existing portfolio of renewable energy assets in North America which now comprises four solar farms in North Carolina and three wind farms in Texas and New Mexico.

The facilities involves in the transaction are the 50 MW Innovative Solar 54 (IS54) and the 35 MW Innovative Solar 67 (IS67) solar farms.
