Goldwind Americas, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co., Ltd., has announced that it has received tax equity financing from BHE Renewables (a Berkshire Hathaway Energy subsidiary) and Citi for the 160 MW Rattlesnake wind project located in McCulloch County, Texas.
Goldwind Capital, another U.S.-based subsidiary of Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology, provided construction financing for the project.
The wind farm, located approximately 125 miles northwest of Austin, will utilize 64 Goldwind 2.5 MW Permanent Magnet Direct-Drive (PMDD) wind turbines. It will sell power under a long-term fixed price energy hedge.
