Two anaerobic digestion (AD) plants installed in UK with thermal capacity of 5 MW each were acquired by John Laing Environmental Assets Group Ltd (JLEN) for GBP36 million (USD48 m). The Egmere Energy plant located in North Norfolk and the Grange Farm Energy facility, located in Spridlington both produce biomethane for injection into the national gas grid. The facilities also have 0.5 MW combined heat and power (CHP) engines that are credited under the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) schemes.
Both power plants went operational in 2014.
