Building works have been “substantially completed” at Amey’s waste treatment facility at Newport. The development is being undertaken by three principal contractors: Trant Engineering Limited for the civil engineering, Stadler Engineering for the Mechanical Treatment (MT) facility and Michaelis Environmental Technology for the energy from waste (EfW) facility.
The facility is expected to be fully operational by summer 2019.
