Innogy SE has completed the installation of all 90 turbine foundations and two lengths of 50-kilometer export cable for the 857 MW Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm in Lincolnshire.
The turbines are supported with up to 600-tonne steel monopile and 160-tonne bright yellow transition piece foundations. Seaway 7 installed these foundations using its heavy lift vessel Seaway Strashnov and DEME’s Innovation. Royal Boskalis Westminster NV carried out the 220-kV subsea cables installations using its vessel Ndurance.
The installation of the first wind turbines for the project is scheduled to start by early 2021.
