Innergex acquires 250 MW hydropower projects in Canada and Chile
Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. has announced that it has acquired Ledcor Power Group Ltd.’s 33.3% interest in Creek Power Inc., a company that indirectly owns the 7.5 MW Fitzsimmons Creek, 25.3 MW Boulder Creek and 81.4 MW Upper Lillooet River hydropower projects located in British Columbia, Canada, as well as a portfolio of prospective projects.

CPPIB to acquire 49% stake in 1.8 GW renewable projects for US$1.4 billion
Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) has signed agreements with Enbridge Inc. to acquire 49% of Enbridge’s interests in select North American onshore renewable power assets, as well as 49% of Enbridge’s interests in two German offshore wind projects for approximately CAD1.75 billion (US$1.36 billion).

Government of Alberta opens 700 MW renewable tenders
The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) has opened Rounds 2 and 3 of its Renewable Electricity Program (REP), devised to support the Government of Alberta’s target of 30% renewable electricity by 2030. Expressions of Interest (EOI) for both rounds are invited until 20 April 2018.
