Infigen Energy disclosed in its financial results for the financial year 2018 that it has executed a run-of-plant power purchase agreement (PPA) in respect of the 31 MW Kiata wind farm owned by Windlab and John Laing Group. The PPA covers the electricity supply of the wind farm for five years.
Kiata is located in Victoria, a state in the south-east of Australia. It is comprised of 9 Vestas V126-3.45 MW WTG turbines and commenced operations in January 2018. Windlab is the initial developer of the project, with John Laing Group acquiring a 72.3% equity stake in the project in late 2016.
This PPA represents Infigen’s entry into the Victorian market.
