Ignitis Group has started the commercial operation of its 94 MW Pomerania wind farm project located in Poland after securing a generation license from the Polish energy regulator Urzad Reguliacji Energetyk.
The project represents about EUR130 million (US$158.44 million) of investment and is constructed in the Pomeranian Voivodeship of northern Poland. The wind farm can generate about 300 GWh per year.
The project will be operated under a 15-year contract for difference (CfD) at a tariff of PLN214.98 (US$52.81) per MWh secured in a domestic renewable energy tender.
