Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives Inc (IEA) has begun construction on the 25 MWac Appling Solar Farm located near the city of Baxley, a rural community in Southeast Georgia, USA.
Silicon Ranch Corporation selected IEA as the Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) contractor for the project. IEA is responsible for the design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover of the facility. Silicon Ranch is funding the installation and will own and operate the solar farm.
Appling solar farm will feature 95,000 locally-produced solar modules by Hanwha Q CELLS and NEXTracker single-axis trackers.
