Ichigo Inc. has started the operation of its first ever wind farm. The company has built 51 solar farms before building the 7.39 MW Ichigo Yonezawa Itaya ECO Power Plant in Japan.

The company has funded the project through a green loan of up to JPY3 billion (US$28.8 million), which was granted by Shinsei Bank Ltd. Moreover, the wind farm is located in Yonezawa City, near the border of Yamagata and Fukushima prefectures. It consists of four Hitachi wind turbines that have a capacity of 1.85 MW each.

Ichigo Inc. anticipates that the wind farm is going to generate 27,391 MWh per year.
