Iberdrola, through its International Startup Programme (PERSEO), has launched a challenge to identify competitive and innovative solutions in the area of agrovoltaic energy, combining solar photovoltaic plants with activities related to agriculture, horticulture, livestock, fish-farming or bee-keeping. The goal is to allow primary sector activities and solar PV farms to complement each other and create synergies on the same land, which leads to sustainable land use and promotion of the local economy.
The proposals could include the following topics or solutions:
The winner will sign a collaborative agreement for the development of a proof-of-concept, which will be developed together with the technical specialists of Iberdrola. In addition, the company will cover the costs and provide full technical support for testing.
