Mining giant Grupo Mexico SA de CV is set to invest up to US$250 million in the 168 MW Fenicias wind project that will be developed in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon.
The wind project will be built by Invenergy. It includes a 60-km-plus transmission line in Reynosa, in the state of Tamaulipas, that will connect the project to the national electricity grid SEN.
The project is set to be commissioned in 2021.
