Greencoat UK Wind Plc has entered into an agreement with Vattenfall Wind Power Ltd to acquire the zero-subsidy wind project in Scotland that has a generating capacity of 240 MW.
The 240 MW South Kyle Wind Farm will be acquired for a total consideration of GBP320 million (US$398 million). The project consists of 50 wind turbines and is located near Dalmellington, Patna, New Cumnock, and Carsphairn. It has secured a 15-year route-to-market power purchase agreement (PPA) with Vattenfall Energy Trading GmbH.
The deal will be paid once the project is completed by 2023.
