The New South Wales Independent Planning Commission issued conditional approval for the construction of a 215 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) park coupled with a battery energy storage facility of 50 MW/50 MWh around 14 km southeast of Armidale at the New England Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) in Australia.
The Oxley project involves the establishment of a PV park valued at AUD 370 million (USD 242.6 million). Oxley Solar Development Pty Ltd will oversee the construction of the plant, which is set to comprise approximately 385,280 solar panels. Anticipated to generate electricity for around 78,000 average homes annually.
