Goldman Sachs completes acquisition of a 300 MW solar project with energy storage facility in California

Goldman Sachs Renewable Power LLC (GSRP) has completed the acquisition of a 300 MW Slate solar photovoltaic project with a 140.25 MW/ 561 MWh energy storage facility in California from Recurrent Energy. 

The solar project is currently being developed on about 2,400 acres of land area in Kings County. It will consist of up to 962,000 bifacial BiKu modules from System Solutions and Energy Storage, a unit of Canadian Solar. 

The project has received support from the PNC Bank for the tax equity and has secured five different power purchase deal.
