Kenyan diaspora-owned power developer Gitson Energy has secured approval from the High Court of Mombasa for the development of a 300 MW wind project in the Marsabit County of Kenya.
Gitson Energy received the project approval from Kenya's Ministry of Energy in 2010. The project encountered land gazettement issues that forced Gitson Energy to seek the court's intervention.
In a 75-page ruling, the ordered the Ministry of Energy to issue the appropriate permit and license to Gitson Energy to realize the project as approved.
