Macquarie's Green Investment Group (GIG) and TotalEnergies have obtained an Electricity Operating License (EBL) for their floating offshore wind power project on the coast of Ulsan, South Korea. This is South Korea's first floating offshore wind power project to obtain a power business license from the Electricity Regulatory Commission of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

The project has a maximum installed capacity of 1.5 GW developed in three stages and is one of the largest floating offshore wind power development projects in the world. The power business license grants partners the exclusive right to develop to promote the first phase of the 504 MW project. The detailed environmental impact assessment will begin in the first phase, and construction is expected to begin in 2024.
