GES has closed its first contract with RWE for the construction of a 43.2 MW onshore wind farm in Soria, Spain.
The Rea Unificado project is composed of 9 wind turbines of 4.8 MW each. GES has already started the engineering tasks, and civil works will start in January and will last for seven months. The plant is expected to start operating in December 2022.
GES is responsible for the engineering and construction works of the project, for which it is also in charge of the complete BOP, both the civil works with more than 11.5 kilometers of roads and the 9 foundations and platforms for the turbines, as well as the medium voltage network (18/30 kV) and a series of adaptations at the Trévago substation.
