Geronimo Energy has signed a 50 MW 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) deal with Illinois Municipal Electric Agency (IMEA) for the power output of its 194 MW Green River wind project.
The wind farm is comprised of up to 74 turbines and covers an area of 5,463 ha in both Lee and Whiteside counties. The wholesale power purchase will supply to 32 municipal utilities.
The project is expected to be operational by October 2019.
