The Federal Network Agency of Germany has launched a tender for the development of a 900 MW offshore wind farm located in the North Sea.
The project should start its commercial operation by 2027 with bids capped at EUR0.064 (US$0.071) per kWh. The auction is based on the "central model" wherein the tender will not only include the funding and the grid connection of the project but will also award the winner the right to apply for planning approval with the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) for the development of the site.
The deadline for the submission of bids is on September 1, 2022.
