Finnish state-owned energy company Gasum Oy has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with London-based renewable energy investment platform Renewable Power Capital (RPC) for its 44 MW Rustari wind project located in South Ostrobothnia.
Under the deal, Gasum will buy most of the output from the Rustari wind project for 10 years which will start in 2023. The Rustari wind farm is located in the municipality of Kurikka and it will contain 8 turbines. The estimated annual production capacity of the wind farm is 160 GWh, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of about 32,000 households.
RPC is backed by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments).
