Fred. Olsen Seawind, Vattenfall awarded 798 MW wind farm in Scotland

The 50/50 partnership of Fred. Olsen Seawind AS and Swedish utility Vattenfall AB have been awarded the rights to develop an offshore wind farm site located 67 km off the east coast of Scotland in the UK. 

The project will have a total generating capacity of up to 798 MW that can provide enough power for about 700,000 homes. 

Vattenfall and Fred. Olsen Seawind will continue to progress environmental studies, launch a public consultation, and conduct an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
