Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) has started the commercial operation of its five solar photovoltaic farms located in Florida each with a generating capacity of 74.5 MW.
The five solar plants are installed in Baker County, Okeechobee County, Nassau County, St. Johns County, and Union County. The solar projects consist of about 1.4 million combined number solar panels that are capable of generating enough power for the consumption of around 75,000 homes.
FPL has another nine solar farms that are currently under construction and are set to be completed before the end of 2021.
