The developers of the Fosen Vind wind farm complex has installed the last turbines for the project that has a total generating capacity of 1,057 MW.
The 227-wind turbines project is developed at the Geitfjellet site in Orkland municipality in central Norway. It consists of wind farms: Harbaksfjellet, Roan, Storheia, Kvenndalsfjellet, Geitfjellet, and Hitra 2. The combined output of these projects can generate up to 3.6 TWh of energy per year.
Fosen Vind DA is owned by Statkraft (52.1%), TrønderEnergi (7.9%) and Nordic Wind Power DA (40%). Nordic Wind Power DA is a company created by the consortium led by Credit Suisse Energy Infrastructure Partners.
