First Gen shortlists two companies for FSRU provider of LNG hub in Batangas
First Gen Corp. through its unit, FGEN LNG Corp., is set to select between BW Gas Limited and Hoegh LNG Asia Pte. Ltd. as the company supplier of a floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) for its liquified natural gas (LNG) import hub in Batangas, Philippines.
FSRU will store up to 170,000 cubic meters of natural gas. It will have an onboard regasification unit that can turn LNG into gas and supply it to the gas network.
In the fourth quarter of 2020, First Gen has selected McConnell Dowell Philippines, Inc. to serve as the facility's engineering, procurement, and construction contractor.
