Vidia Equity has announced the final close of its Vidia Climate Fund I at EUR 415 million (USD 452 million).

Vidia's Fund I aims to achieve both superior financial returns and positive climate impact through investments in mid-market solutions within three primary climate themes:

  1. Industrial materials,
  2. Electrification, and
  3. Circular economy.

Vidia will concentrate on reducing emissions in five of the most emission-intensive sectors:

  • Energy, Industrials,
  • Transportation,
  • Buildings, and
  • Food & Agriculture.

Fund I has already successfully invested in two ventures BPM, a German mechanical recycling specialist focused on producing granulates and regrinds from post-industrial plastic waste, and Wierig Group, a service provider specializing in large industrial flat roofs. The latter complements energy-efficient refurbishment with the installation of photovoltaic and other alternative energy systems.
