Eversource Energy has begun a comprehensive evaluation of its offshore wind investment portfolio in the USA. The company will investigate strategic alternatives as part of that review, to be completed this year, and might result in the sale of all or part of its 50% stake in offshore wind Joint Venture (JV) with Orsted.
The JV includes three contracted projects with a combined capacity of 1,758 MW, as well as up to 175,000 acres of unallocated offshore wind land. The 130 MW South Fork Wind and the 924 MW Sunrise Wind, both off Long Island, and the 704 MW Revolution Wind off Rhode Island, are among the wind investments.
