European Energy inaugurates 108 MW solar park in Australia

European Energy has inaugurated the 108 MW Lancaster Solar Farm in the state of Victoria in Australia, further expanding the company’s renewable energy portfolio in the country. The inauguration took place during the Danish Royal Couple’s State Visit to Australia.

The solar park comprises approximately 170,000 solar panels and will supply renewable electricity to Apple under a long-term power purchase agreement. The project adds new operational capacity to European Energy’s growing Australian portfolio of renewable energy assets, which has secured long-term offtake agreements and project financing. The project has the capacity to generate around 223 GWh annually—enough to power approximately 35,000 homes.

Australia is a priority market for European Energy. In 2025, the company secured multiple long-term power purchase agreements with global corporate offtakers and obtained project financing for solar developments in the country. European Energy also received development approval for a 1.1 GW renewable energy project, further strengthening its Australian project pipeline.
