Elektroprivreda BiH (EPBiH) has scheduled the commissioning of its 48 MW wind facility in February 2021.
The project will be located on the plateau of Podvelezje, about 10 km east of Mostar. When complete, it is expected to have an annual production of about 130 GWh.
EPBIH has signed a contract with the Siemens Gamesa Consortium to supply 15 wind turbines. The company will also design, handle construction works, assemble, test and commission the turbines and provide five years of maintenance after the plant is commissioned.
KfW bank provides a loan of EUR65 million (US$73.4 million), while EPBIH will also invest EUR3 million (US$3.4 million).
