Energy China CGGC, Supcon Solar of China to build the 52 MW MINOS CSP plant in Crete

The consortium of Energy China CGGC International Ltd and Supcon Solar of China has been awarded the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the development of a 50 MW concentrated solar power (CSP) project in Greece.

The Minos concentrated solar-powered project, features tower technology, and molten salt storage is being developed by NUR-MOH Heliothermal, a joint venture of Nur Energie Ltd and Greek oil and energy firm Motor Oil Hellas.

Prenecon, a Greek company will also take part in the construction of the plant. 

The developer has also signed a financing cooperation agreement with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).
