Damco Energy, a unit of Greek group Copelouzos, agreed to buy a 10% stake in Senfluga Energy Infrastructure Holdings, which owns 66% of Greek gas grid operator DESFA.

DESFA S.A. owns, operates, and manages the national natural gas transmission system in Greece. The company transports gas from the Greek-Bulgarian border, the Greek-Turkish border, and the liquefied natural gas receiving terminal on the Revythousa Island in the Gulf of Megara to consumers in continental Greece. It also provides non regulatory services, such as polyethylene welding certification, metrology, natural gas distribution network, natural gas vehicle refueling stations, natural gas odorization, crisis management training programs, technical consulting services, corrosion and lightening protection, natural gas transmission system technical support, non-destructive testing, digital management of documents, and provision of operational data.

Copelouzos did not disclose the price for the deal.

Senfluga’s major shareholders include three major European natural gas operators — Italy’s Snam, Spain’s Enagas and Belgium’s Fluxys.
