Enercon has secured a contract to supply 13 wind turbines for the development of Oostpolder onshore wind project in the Netherlands. Topwind Consultancy conducted the wind turbine tender process and operations and maintenance contracts on behalf of Windpark Oostpolder. The wind farm is located to the south of the Eemshaven port in the Dutch province of Groningen, will start it the construction in summer 2020.
Enercon will deliver E-136 EP5 4.65MW wind turbines, with a rotor diameter of 136 meters and 155-meter hub heights, 12 of which will go to Waddenwind and one to Gijzenberg Windenergie. The wind farm is expected to generate over 200 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, once operational.
The Waddenwind BV will receive 12 units that will be situated in the Oostpolder’ eastern section, and Gijzenberg Windenergie BV will install one turbine outside its southern border. Another eight E-136 EP5 wind turbines are in a planning stage within the Oostpolder’s western part.
The near-shore Windpark Fryslân to be located on the Ijselmeer lake, near Breezanddijk, the Netherlands with a 383 MW capacity has reached financial close.
