Enercon has secured an agreement with Orsted to supply turbines for a 16 MW onshore wind project in Northern Ireland.
The company will install seven E-82 E4 wind turbines for Orsted’s site at Ballykeel, County Antrim. The energy generated at the Ballykeel wind farm will be sold to a large online retailer under a long-term fixed-price corporate power purchase agreement (CPPA).
Turbine installation will commence at the end of 2022 and it is anticipated that the site will be commissioned in 2023. This contract will be supported by a 20-year maintenance agreement.
