Enercon plans to build an onshore wind facility phase 2 at Markbygden, Sweden. Back in 2016, Enercon acquired part of the said project from Svevind. The first turbine connection is expected in 2020 and the project is hoped to be completed by 2021.
The full capacity is yet to determined between 850 MW and 1.1 GW. The original plan of Enercon to build 440 wind turbines was adjusted to around half of it since the the output of the turbines will be doubled.
