Elsewedy Electric awards consultancy contract to Asunim Solar, I-kWh for energy project in Juba

Egyptian energy services company Elsewedy Electric T&D (EETD) has appointed Asunim Solar and I-kWh as the consultant for the company's planned 20 MW solar photovoltaic and energy storage facility project in South Sudan. 

The solar PV farm with a 35 MWh energy storage system is set to supply energy to the state of Jubek and the surrounding capital region. The integrated project will have an estimated investment of about US$45 million. 

Once operational, the project is expected to produce up to 29 GWh of energy energy that can power up to 59,000 homes.
