The Ministry of Energy and Renewable Energies of Niger has launched a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the design, financing, construction, and operation of a grid-connected solar PV plant with a total capacity of 50 MW under The World Bank Group’s Scaling Solar program. The plant will be located in Gorou Banda near the Capital city of Niamey.
Launched in September 2021, the competitive tender process resulted in the successful qualification of 6 following bidders out of 14 candidates to receive the RFP and submit bids for the project:
The deadline for the submission of bids is on April 19, 2023.
