The state-owned company Elektroprivreda BiH (EPBiH) is set to start the construction of the 48 MW Podvelezje wind project near the southern town of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
EPBiH has completed the construction of the 110/30 kV transformer station, medium-voltage cable network and telecommunications network that are needed for the wind farm. The company now awaits for the construction permit for the foundations of the wind turbines.
The project is being developed in partnership with Croatia's Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Denmark's Siemens Wind Power A/S, both units of Spanish engineering company Siemens Gamesa.
Commissioning of the project is expected to be done by February 2021.
