Empresa Generadora de Electricidad Haina SA (EGE Haina) has completed the construction of 48.3 MW Larimar II wind farm. The project is located in Barahona province, Dominican Republic.
The Larimar II wind farm together with other EGE Haina projects can help reduce 300,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and avoid the import of 900,000 barrels of oil.
The Larimar II wind farm uses 14 units of V-117 wind turbines by Vestas Wind Systems.
