EDP Renewables has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Mytilineos for the purchase of green energy produced from the 78 MW wind portfolio located in Greece.
The wind portfolio will consist of three projects: the 23 MW and 35 MW wind farms located in Voioti, and a 21 MW wind farm in Achaia. The three projects are expected to enter operation between the end of 2024 and 2025 and under this PPA they are expected to produce annually more than 232 GWh.
With this new portfolio, EDPR has now 11.2 GW out of the 20 GW target additions worldwide established in the 2021-2025 Business Plan. This transaction enables EDPR to achieve more than 3.6 GW of the 6.7 GW target for renewable capacity additions in Europe during 2021-2025.
