EDF Renewables has signed three corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with the leading multinational retailer, Tesco.
EDF Renewables UK will install fifteen thousand roof-mounted solar PV panels on seventeen Tesco stores across England. This is a total of 5 MWp of installed capacity and 20 years Corporate PPA with Tesco. Construction is already underway and it will be completed by the end of next year (2020).
EDF renewables also signed a 15 year Corporate PPA with Tesco for the two wind farms: 10.8 MW Burnfoot East wind farm project which consists of three turbines. The project is an extension of the existing Burnfoot cluster located in the Clackmannanshire council area, which has a total capacity of 42 MW. The future wind farm extension is expected to be completed mid-2020. The second wind farm will be developed in Scotland with a capacity of around 43 MW, the details about this farm were not provided yet.
