EDF Renewables UK plans to build a 50 MW green hydrogen facility that will be powered by offshore wind and solar photovoltaic plants in England.
The Tees Green Hydrogen project will be constructed at the site of a former steel factory in Tees Valley. The green hydrogen production plant will source its energy from the 62 MW Teesside offshore wind park off the North Yorkshire coast and a 49.9 MW solar park will be constructed near Redcar in North Yorkshire.
The project is designed to enable an expansion of up to 500 MW.
