EDF Power Solutions UK has signed two new Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPAs) with BAE Systems and NatWest, enabling both companies to source renewable electricity from the 49.9 MW Tye Lane solar farm located in Suffolk, UK.
The deals underpin the development of the 49.9 MW solar project, which is currently being built and is scheduled for completion in spring 2026. EDF Power Solutions already maintains established relationships with both organisations, including a current CPPA with BAE Systems linked to the Stranoch onshore wind farm in Scotland and another CPPA with NatWest associated with the Porth Wen solar project in Wales. Once operational, Tye Lane will supply BAE Systems with enough power to meet around 15% of its current UK demand as the company works toward sourcing 90% of its UK and international electricity from renewables by 2030. The agreement will also cut operational emissions for NatWest by supplying clean power to its offices and high street banks.
