EDF Renewables has signed purchase and sale agreements with PGGM Infrastructure Fund for a 50% interest in the 200 MW Glacier’s Edge wind project and 132 MW Valentine solar project.

Located on approximately 1,260 acres of private land in Kern County’s Mojave Desert in California, Valentine Solar is adjacent to EDF RE’s Catalina Solar 2 Project. Valentine will be comprised of horizontal single-axis tracking solar photovoltaic (PV) technology. On the other hand, Glaciers Edge wind farm is located in Cherokee County, Iowa.

The deal is subject to regulatory approval and customary conditions. EDFR owns the remaining 50% and will continue providing management and maintenance services to the projects.
