EDF Renewables North America, a unit of EDF Group has completed the sale of a 50% stake in two renewable energy projects with a combined capacity of 332 MW in USA to Netherlands-based Pggm Coöperatie UA, a unit of Zeist.
The transaction covers the sale of the 200 MW Glaciers Edge wind farm in Cherokee County and the 132 MW Valentine Solar Project in California. The wind farm project has a 12-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Alphabet Inc., a unit of Google LLC while the solar farm has a 15-year PPA deal with Edison International, a subsidiary Southern California Edison Co.
With the closing of the deal, EDF Group will remain as the co-owner of the projects and will continue to serve the management, operations and maintenance services.
