Dutch authority approves Fryslan offshore project development

The Council of State in the Netherlands has granted approval for the development of the 320 MW Fryslan offshore wind project located in IJsselmeer, The Netherlands.

The objections raised against the project have been ruled out by the Dutch authority. The facility, consists of 89 wind turbines, will be developed together with the Province of Friesland with a subsidy from the national government obtained in 2017. The project is expected to commence operation by 2020.
